Prison Break
Nov. 20th, 2011 04:09 pmThere was a trailer for Prison Break on the front of one of my rental DVDs months and months ago - it looked reasonably interesting, so I added it to my list of things to look into when I needed some new TV to watch.
I acquired the first season recently, started watching it over the weekend, and am now finding it difficult to do anything else. I've watched nine episodes in less than 48 hours (the only reason it's not a lot more than that is because I've had a whole lot of other stuff I've had to do in between, which I've resented hugely!) and I'm about to load my USB stick with several more so I can spend the rest of my Sunday immersing myself fully.
It's clever, well-written, suspenseful, intriguing, somewhat unpleasant in places, and has loads of great characters. Wentworth Miller is head and shoulders above everyone else, though - he's not really my type physically (apart from the tattoos), but he's so intense and compelling that I just can't look away.
It's been quite a while since I've been so totally hooked on something, and I'm not fighting it. Here's hoping the other 72 episodes are as good as the first nine!
