Real Steel review
Oct. 16th, 2011 06:08 pmIf you like a good underdog sports plot, with a redemptive protagonist arc and a schmaltzy father-son relationship aspect, then Real Steel is the film for you. It doesn't have an original bone in its body, and it's wildly emotionally manipulative, but that doesn't stop it from being hugely enjoyable if you just sit back and let it happen. Plus, the robot is very appealing and Hugh Jackman takes his shirt off!
