Mitch Benn and Jump! reviews
Nov. 11th, 2009 08:37 amMitch Benn and The Distractions took up a very enjoyable couple of hours on Friday night, preceded by an extremely nice meal at an Italian restauarant a few streets away. We got very wet on the walk between the restauarant and the theatre, but the show was good enough that I quickly forgot about my squishy trousers. I can't get used to Mitch Benn without the long hair and the beard, but his talent is obviously not connected to his hair, as he was still very funny. I was particularly impressed with the song he wrote in the interval, based on new stories people shouted out from the audience beforehand.
Last night, Dave and I went to see Jump! at the Peacock Theatre. We've seen it before, but it was well worth a second viewing, though knowing what was coming did dampen the hilarity slightly. It was still very funny, and the acrobatics were still very impressive, and I would urge people to go while it's still showing.
