City of Ember review

Dave expressed interest in City of Ember, having read and enjoyed the book some time ago.  I'd never heard of it, but the film turned out to be quite fun.  The world was well realised, the usually over the top aspects of these kinds of kids' movies weren't too bad, and the plot had enough excitement to keep me interested to the end.  It wasn't exactly high art, but the performances were good and the fact that two kids saved the city was somewhat more plausible than in most kids' stories.
